I am currently a final-year aerospace engineering student studying at Coventry University, with a keen eye for detail and interests in flight test and evaluation, qualification, quality, and continuous improvement.

During the course of my studies, I have, or will come to cover:

  • Aerospace Structures & Propulsion Systems
  • Aerospace Structural Analysis
  • Aircraft Aerodynamics & Aircraft Systems
  • Avionics & Instrumentation
  • Computer Aided Engineering including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) & Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
  • Engineering Mathematics
  • Electrical Engineering Fundamentals
  • Human Factors in Aerospace
  • Mechanical Science

Outside of my studies, when time and funding allows, I am training to become an EASA PPL(A) holder. I have previously worked part-time for Airplan Flight Equipment, and continue to assist AFE and Flight Training News at annual aviation events such as the LAA Rally at Sywell Aerodrome and Pilot Careers Live at Heathrow.

Since 2014 I have been a Student Affiliate of the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS), of which the last 3 years has seen me sat on the Committee of the Coventry Branch; the oldest standalone branch of the main society. I am also a member of the Air League and a Cadet Forces Adult Volunteer in the Royal Air Force Air Cadets, specifically the Air Training Corps, helping to deliver the aims of the Corps which are:

  1. To promote and encourage among young people a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force.
  2. To provide training which will be useful both in the Services and in civilian life.
  3. To foster the spirit of adventure, and to develop the qualities of leadership and good citizenship.
